- Promotion of entrepreneurial attitudes as well as mentoring and coaching of young unemployed people.
- Developing skills necessary in the job market e.g. soft skills, auto presentation, CV and motivation letter
- Encouraging development of skills in and learning of foreign languages.
Consilium Hosted young people from Poland over the summer of 2014. Providing work experience opportunities with Worcestershire Land cooperative, YMCA shop (Malvern), Oxfam shop (Malvern), Blue Cross shop (Malvern), Wyre Community Land Trust (Bewdley), English Nature (Wyre Forest). Study visits included Eden Project and Bodenham Arboretum.
The young people took the opportunity to explore on their own during days off. London was a favorite destination but also Bristol, camping on the Gower peninsula and Cornwall, with Oxford, Bath, Avebury and of course locally Hereford and Worcester.
The participants all grew in confidence, becoming more independent as their English language and communication skills improved.
