ARTEXPRESS TRAINING COURSE
This was held in Dresden, Germany in July 2015. It was funded through the Erasmus+ programme and organised by
As a partner we recruited and sent a UK participant. (as we do with other opportunities that occur from time to time)
ArtExpress brought together youth workers, trainers, social workers, facilitators, visual artists and art educators in order to offer them methods to use visual arts in the frame of non-formal education. This was achieved by providing the participants with theoretical knowledge on visual arts based on non-formal learning methods, technical expertise and practice on animation stop motion, story telling, filming and photography with the view to foster young people’s and young people with fewer opportunities personal, emotional, social and cognitive development.
“What drew me most to this project were the creative aspects, animation workshops, and the fact all participates had a background or interest in art. In between workshops we had time to go out and experience Dresden’s beautiful city while mixing with the locals. This is a great way to meet new people, broaden horizons, make new connections, learn new skills & new cultures with people that are equally interested in ours. I think this is the perfect environment to learn while also inspiring, engaging & fun.”
